Avante K. Jackson, a seasoned Class A CDL Driver and dedicated mentor, is the founder of CDL Shorty D4D, LLC, based in Charlotte, NC. With over a decade of experience in the trucking industry, Avante has transformed his expertise into CDL Shorty’s Drivers 4 Drivers (D4D) Peer Mentorship Program, offering one-on-one CDL coaching designed to help both new and experienced drivers gain confidence, improve their skills, and succeed in the trucking industry.

Avante began his trucking career over 10 years ago, running OTR (Over-the-Road) and Regional routes, and gaining hands-on experience in dry van, flatbed, regional, and reefer units. His knowledge expanded as he spent two years training students to obtain their Class A CDL License, where he provided classroom and field instruction on essential trucking skills. From pre-trip inspections and coupling/uncoupling of combination units to mastering turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering through inner-city and interstate highway traffic, Avante’s role in CDL training schools gave him the expertise to prepare students for real-world trucking challenges.

Most recently, Avante has turned his focus to mentoring and coaching rookie drivers through peer support mentorship, helping them build confidence, improve driving techniques, and understand industry best practices. His goal is to provide CDL mentorship in Charlotte, NC that empowers drivers with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.

After receiving the gift of life from his angel donor, Avante has a newfound outlook on life and is committed to giving back to the trucking community. He openly shares his personal journey through the heart transplant process, educating drivers on heart health for truckers and the warning signs of heart disease. Avante firmly believes that knowledge is power, and by sharing his experiences, he hopes to help fellow truckers prioritize their well-being and lead healthier lives on the road.
